Recently, I have been playing a lot of older games like Lego Star Wars on the Xbox 360. When I have been playing these games I have realized how far we have come in terms of consoles and graphics. Even the Xbox 360 which is still not that old, has graphics that are so much worse than other consoles like the Nintendo switch or Xbox One. While the graphics are a lot worse I still love playing games on older consoles because I still have all the memories when I was 7 or 8 playing games like Lego Star Wars with my friends.Another thing about older consoles is the style of games because nowadays games are really fast paced and are all about good graphics. Older games for me have better stories because that was one of the focuses while graphics weren't as important. This is why I have a great time playing these games because they have a lot more details not in the graphics but in the stories.

So the Nintendo switch has been out for awhile but more recently I have been getting into playing a lot of games on it. When I say I have been playing a lot on it, I mean I have been playing Super Smash Bros Ultimate a lot. I have to say that during my time playing on the Nintendo switch I have been having a great time. It is really nice to have a console that you can take everywhere and it can be easily accessible at any time. I find myself using it outside of my house including sometimes at school during lunch and various other places. Along with it being able to have a handheld mode it also has very good graphics compared to other consoles and handheld devices that I use. Not to mention that it also has a pretty good battery life which usually lasts me about 3 hours of only playing it. Overall I find the Nintendo Switch to be very fun to use and convenient because it can be taken so many places and used at any time. While this is really only its first year being out on the market, I think it will continue to sell more copies over time, especially with new games coming out soon.
Summary
So far this year we are about half way through the school year and in DDA II I have learned a lot more than I did in DDA I. This year has been so much more fast paced and we have had so much more advanced work to do and I like it. I like the fact that we are learning more advanced skills like Boolean objects and modifiers like lathe and loft. I like this class a lot more because I can now do so much more of what I want because I know so much more than I did last year. For example last year it was hard for me to even make simple objects without putting a lot of time and effort into it, but now I feel like I can make so many things with ease. This class has really helped me a lot, even though some of the activities can be a little more challenging because it allows me to explore what I want to do and lets me create what I want to create with simplicity and also high detail. There are certain projects that take a long time but before I started this class I had no clue that I would ever get close to what I am doing now. I am so glad that I chose to stick with Game Art Design as my pathway because I am learning so much more than I thought I would be and the tools are very useful in creating many different things. A good example of this is MassFx which is basically just animations with collisions and moving components which I would have never thought I would be doing this early in this year and it would be so simple. Overall I am still really enjoying this class even if it can get hard at some points because it is still very enjoyable.
